@kenshinzenis the monk movememt bonus can be added to the tabaxi climb movement speed or just the basic movement speed? The former.

Multiattak is 1 action but…
@redwoodguardian @NosiTheBardI’ve been told mutiattak is 1 act.BUT isn’t it the rule that your human abilities carry over, so alow2 multi? Look at the text of Extra Attack. It works only with the Attack action.

Quickened Spell, cantrip?
@mikemearls Quickened Spell: Phb says any spell with 1 action becomes a bonus action. Sage advice mentions it has to be a cantrip. Clarify?
— Mike Rowe (@Zaikyu) August 27, 2016
@mikemearls @Zaikyu If you cast a second spell—other than the quickened one—it must be a cantrip.

Sentinel feat on a flying creature with the “flyby” trait
@JeremyECrawford Wil you be able to get OA with the sentinel feat on a flying creature with the "flyby" trait?
— Bernt Bergum (@Maraxion) October 17, 2016
A Flyby creature doesn't provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of a foe's reach. Nothing in the Sentinel feat counters that. #DnD https://t.co/1p8AQBBqvu
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 17, 2016
@JeremyECrawford @Maraxion on that note, would a pole arm master get an OA as the flyby enters range?
— Dreadwolf (@HVargavinter) October 17, 2016
Flyby protects you when you fly out of a foe's reach, not when you fly into it. #DnD https://t.co/cBMv5Yh8Kj

Can you hide from a creature with blindsight?
@JeremyECrawford Can you hide from a creature with blindsight: behind a pillar? In a barrel? Around a corner? Behind a wall? Camouflaged?
— Poljack (@Poljack) June 17, 2016
You can't hide from a creature if you're in its blindsight radius, unless magic cloaks your presence entirely. #DnD https://t.co/9lEjumLFYt

Can a fighter use rally on himself?
@JeremyECrawford Can a fighter use rally on himself? It uses the same language noted in spells targeting yourself on page 204.
— Colin Smith (@NerfPyroPlz) September 28, 2016
The Rally feature targets one of your companions—an ally of yours. #DnD https://t.co/zC7Tf6Q5AV
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 26, 2016
@NerfPyroPlzAre you sure? Same language in inspiring leader to a different effect. Isn’t ‘a creature you can see and hear’ the target? The pertinent words in Rally are "a friendly creature."
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 28, 2016
@NerfPyroPlzThanks for the response, but I’m still confused. Inspiring leader also says “friendly creatures” and allows self targeting. Yes, Inspiring Leader says you can target yourself.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 28, 2016
@JeremyECrawford ofc, but if target words are "friendly creature" and IL lets you target yourself, doesn't it follow that rally can too?
— Colin Smith (@NerfPyroPlz) October 28, 2016
An exception (a spell/feat/class feature/etc.) has no bearing on the interpretation of another. The exceptional builds on the general. #DnD https://t.co/KPly0cuK9s
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 29, 2016
@NerfPyroPlzIt absolutely must when there’s no non-spellcasting target rules. RE: on 204 it says “creature” can target yourself. cont. Rally and Inspiring Leader contain the necessary information for their targeting.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 29, 2016
@NerfPyroPlzIf self contained, why create an exception to a rule 1 sentence earlier in inspiring leader? At very least, bad editing. Inspiring Leader creates an exception to the meaning of the word "companions" because that's the design intent for the feat.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) October 29, 2016
@NerfPyroPlzWhy? If it’s self contained, say “everyone” instead of “not you, but you”. Makes ‘companion’ look like 4e (ally = you also) The exception is made precisely because the game doesn't normally depart from the English meaning of "companions."

When do you use Passive Perception instead of rolls?
@mikemearls @Asmogorgon @ChrisPerkinsDnD @JeremyECrawford @MikeMercer Sorry – when do you use Passive Perception instead of rolls?
— Bryce Walton (@BryceWalton) October 28, 2016
A DM uses passive Perception when you might notice something but aren't actively searching. If you search, you make a check. #DnD https://t.co/9QhN7mM007
