I disagree, If the game becomes too prescriptive then it loses the creative spark at the table. “If you don’t like it make it your own” is what made my groups curse of strahd different from everyone else’s. I’d disagree. With all respect, I think this is a lazy dismissal of the problems that are present.

I think it’s pretty evident that people can make the game their own, but they do so in the sandbox that you created created for them, which is your responsibility to maintain In first edition, the maximum Strength score allowed for female player characters was lower than that of their male counterparts. My gaming group ignored that rule for years before TSR finally eliminated it. D&D’s players are often ahead of the game itself. #wotcstaff

2004 Fun Fact: Map drawing is not my strong suit in adventure design. For “The Queen with Burning Eyes” in Dungeon 113, I sold it as a feature that you could make the maps using tiles from the D&D Miniatures game.

in #dnd 5e a charmed creature by a vampire is a willing target to its bite attack.
However, doing anything harmful to that target allows it to repeat its saving throw.
Does the charmed creature also repeat its saving throw if bitten as a willing target? Yep! Damage from the bite is harmful, and can potentially snap the charmed victim back to their senses.
