In your opinion would a Warforged be immune to an Illithid Tadpoles effects, and the Body Thief effect of an Intellect Devourer? Basically do they have an actual “brain”? Mechanically, warforged have no special immunities to these effects. I assume that the warforged have something in a cranial cavity that functions as a brain and can be affected by these things, even though it's not physically similar to a HUMAN brain.

It may not be a satisfying meal for a mind flayer, but they CAN still eat it.

Out of curiosity then, in Wayfinders Guide it mentions a headless Warforged (pictured), is this a very rare outlier or would this effect the previously questioned things.
Or somehow could it end up with 2 creatures inhabiting one body? (Also thank you for the reply 🥰) It’s a rare outlier. Mechanically, 5E warforged are humanoids; if a resistance or immunity isn’t explicitly called out, they’re treated like other humanoids.— Keith Baker (@HellcowKeith) June 21, 2020
