Would a Warforged be immune to an Illithid Tadpoles effects, and the Body Thief effect of an Intellect Devourer?

In your opinion would a Warforged be immune to an Illithid Tadpoles effects, and the Body Thief effect of an Intellect Devourer? Basically do they have an actual “brain”? Mechanically, warforged have no special immunities to these effects. I assume that the warforged have something in a cranial cavity that functions as a brain and can be affected by these things, even though it's not physically similar to a HUMAN brain.

Out of curiosity then, in Wayfinders Guide it mentions a headless Warforged (pictured), is this a very rare outlier or would this effect the previously questioned things.
Or somehow could it end up with 2 creatures inhabiting one body? (Also thank you for the reply 🥰) It’s a rare outlier. Mechanically, 5E warforged are humanoids; if a resistance or immunity isn’t explicitly called out, they’re treated like other humanoids.

I had a plan for my D&D game and had been meaning to ask a shot in the dark question for @TheEdVerse. What do the cities of Netheril look like in terms of architecture? I guess come September that question might be answered with pictures. The cities of Netheril varied WIDELY in architecture; that was the whole point, all of these magically powerful individuals were "expressing themselves" in very different ways, like the variety of real-world painted art or sculptures or music.#Realmslore

@TheEdVerse A question if I may, something that has been bugging me for days now: is there an equivalent of spellfire in the Shadow Weave? And if so, who/what were it’s wielders?

No, there isn’t. Spellfire is a ‘wild talent’ way of accessing the raw power of the Weave. That raw power is like a consuming fire when in contact with Shadow Weave magic, so it destroys Shadow Weave spells 2)
Also, because of this, no Shadow Weave practitioner has time/opportunity to master spellfire effects; it's like trying to learn to knit with wool that's on fire and melting in your hands.

I always thought psionics were completely different from magic?

Psionics weren’t effect by anti-magic measures and Mind Flayers, a purely psionic race, saw sorcerers, wizards, and such as heresy.

Did something change in the lore/mechanics? Depends on when you look.

3.5 psionics were absolutely treated as magic, with an optional rule variant to treat them as separate from magic.

More to the point for 5e, arcane/divine/psionic are descriptors of how a creature harnesses and manipulates the magic of the multiverse in a narrative sense, but mechanically those terms are meaningless. If a wizard and a Light Domain cleric both cast fireball, one is divine and the other is arcane narratively, but mechanically and in the metaphysics of the game world they function and fail in exactly the same manner.

Why would a psionic fireball be different?

Yes, deities still receive power through worship.#Realmslore
