Who do you think would win in combat: Elminster or Mordenkainen?
Heh. I get asked this weekly. El recently nursed Mordy back to mental health (see my novels) and so knows his mind and has pathways into it, and the contest is taking place in the Realms where the Weave is everywhere and El is a Weavemaster: so El wins, hands down.#Realmslore

If only we’d made “more than one book about worlds other than the Forgotten Realms.”

Except the planes aren't universal and accessible from any setting.
What about more content for the Planes? They’re universal & can be accessed from any campaign setting, right? The DMG & PHB have only a few paragraphs on each. Separate books/modules (e.g. ToA, Avernus) for Abyss, Beastlands, Limbo, etc. could be useful to fans of any setting. Eberron has its own planar cosmology, as do the MtG settings.
And most homebrew settings I've played have their own unique cosmology too.
The planes are far from universal.

Eberron is a weird one. It's like it's own Material Plane pocket, a bubble within the D&D multiverse, but cut off from it by the Ring of Siberys.
The Magic planes are from a different multiverse entirely, accessible by denizens of the D&D multiverse, but difficult and dangerous.

Is there any official precedent for Elven Barbarians in the Forgotten Realms?
is there any official precedent for Elven Barbarians in the Forgotten Realms? Asking for a friend, who is me. Sure. Many wild elves are barbarians (and rangers, for that matter), and this is in published canon Realmslore.#Realmslore

If I wanted to build Glimmer from She-Ra in D&D, how would I do it?
If I wanted to build Glimmer from #SheRa in #DnD, how would I do it?
(5e is what I’m actually playing right now, but any edition or close relative is cool!) I’d go variant human with the Fey Touched feat from Unearthed Arcana, Warlock of the Archfey. Take misty step and dimension door when you have those spell options.
— Dan Dillon (@Dan_Dillon_1) September 7, 2020
Though correction, if you have the feat no need to burn a warlock spell known on Misty Step, the feat essentially gives it to you to use with your normal slots.

“You’re not making me feel any more benevolent towards you, Wolf.”
“I have my regrettable failings. At least one of them has been rectified by Ralandor’s own spell-preparations. So my failure to behead him, and burn the head, …#epicfantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) April 9, 2020

“How cheering. I feel quite buoyed.”
“See how easy that was, Elvar?”
“I was indulging in SARCASM, you fool.” 3)
“And lo, I have heard Wolf called a fool, and the caller survived. His being a king must have something to do with that.”#epicfantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) April 9, 2020

“But of course. Our purpose as courtiers is to support the King, on his throne above us. Wherefore his existence gives us purpose, and meaning, and importance.”
“Aye, but THIS King?”
“A-HEM! Anyone ELSE looking for a beheading? 5)
“No. I was just trying out my tongue at this royal indulgence in sarcasm, ‘you fool.’ It seemed like such inane fun, you see.”#epicfantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) April 9, 2020
Do owlbears lay eggs?
Hey @ChrisPerkinsDnD serious question. Do owlbears lay eggs?
— Amber (@AuthorBrain) September 23, 2020
Do you want them to? (That’s the official answer. Historically, D&D has been inconsistent, with some owlbears laying eggs and others not. We’re happy to let DMs & players decide what owlbear origin story works best for them.) #wotcstaff https://t.co/hbC2Tj715L

Is there some form of standardized banking throughout the Forgotten Realms?
Is there some form of standardized banking throughout the Realms? Even something localized among the three major cities of the Sword Coast (Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur’s Gate)? If so, how are funds made available and account balances known? My players are asking. See the “Money Matters” chapter of the "Ed Greenwood Presents Elminster’s Forgotten Realms" sourcebook (no, I didn’t come up with that title!).
It covers temples offering banking, rollcoins, moneylenders, and manycoins businesses. (In some places, guilds also bank.)#Realmslore— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) April 22, 2020
