Just out of curiosity, is the reason you don’t think so that every other instrument requires two hands to play and therefore precludes the simultaneous use of a weapon? It's because material component means material thing, which a voice is not. Voices already fill a component requirement: verbal.

I currently play an “oration bard”, in a 5e game, whose instrument is his voice. I never thought that wasn’t capable RAW, I just assumed the voice was the verbal component and he had material components like every one else.. As far as spellcasting rules go, that is correct.

All deities have servitors more trusted and more powerful than mortal clergy (at the very least, to serve as messengers between the god and said priests). Some of these may be literal “fallen angels,” but most will be unique2)

Luskan is still largely in ruins, and remains lawless except in areas policed by a Ship (i.e. trading markets). Officially ruled by the High Captains, as always—but, as always, the true power is the Arcane Brotherhood, 2)

Should the hide/search checks be hidden, or should the player roll openly? If they should be hidden how should the lucky feat work with them? When players make rolls, those rolls aren’t hidden from them.
If you want to use hidden Perception, use passive Perception scores.

A spell didn't even necessarily create it. Crafting a +1 longsword isn't a spell.
Casting magic weapon is, but that's not the same as creating a lasting magic item.

didn’t older edition have spells you needed to know to be able to maker certain magic items? Previous editions did require spell knowledge/casting for some magic items.
Previous editions also had general rules for dispel magic affecting magic items.
