@nirvanstryder @JeremyECrawford @mikemearlsDown Time allows learn a tool/language. Can u learn One skill, weapon, armor type ie chain shirt? Nope. Downtime training can't be used for weapons, armor, or skills unless the DM rules it so.

RAW, RAF, RAI and Sage Advice
Master Jeremy is the new Sage!
All my best wishes for his new column Sage Advice:
http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/philosophy-behind-rules-and-rulings
In this article describes three different mode to interpret rules:
- RAW – Rules As Written
- RAI – Rules As Intended
- RAI – Rules As Fun – my favorite!
The article will start to describe philosophy behind DungeonsDragons rules and rulings, focus on the first “unsaid” rule: Your Dungeon Master is the key.
Key for your fun, Key for a quick and smart decision, Key to keep your campaign alive and not “freezed” for a rule discussion.
After reading this article my advice is to use rules like a tool to challenge your creativity and to push yourself beyond your imagination.
Master Jeremy says about him:
“In case you’re wondering who the new sage is, I’m one of the two lead designers of the new edition, as well as the lead designer of the Player’s Handbook and one of the leads on the Dungeon Master’s Guide. I’m also the managing editor who oversees the creation of material for the game.”

Master Rodney tell us how to improve DM adventure, especially storytelling with interludes, random encounters and recap.
Interludes are short texts that can describe your world, your story arc or character aspects.
The recap is like the one at the beginning of TV shows: it helps to focus on the following events.
A must read.
Gorgeous UPDATE!:
Banshee ship
Difference between fantasy and SF RPGs: In the fantasy campaign, the ship named the Banshee comes with an actual banshee on board.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) December 15, 2015
The good news for the party in my campaign is that they now own a ship. Bad news: they co-own it with the banshee that lives aboard it.

Would the Shatter spell work on a statue like a Weeping Angel or is it to heavy to work?
@TheJoeGeorge @JeremyECrawfordwould the shatter spell work on a statue like a Weeping Angel or is it to heavy to work? i'd treat something like a weeping angel as an object in its inert form
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) February 3, 2015
@TheJoeGeorgeit was inert just the head moved. Didn’t know if weight was a factor nope, weight doesn't play in. Now that I have my PH, I'd treat it as a stone/crystal creature for disad on the save

If someone drinks a potion of a buff spell that requires Concentration, do they have to concentrate on it?
@forrestfire15_Out of curiosity, if someone drinks a potion of a buff spell that requires Concentration, do they have to concentrate on it? yes – IIRC you treat the person who drinks the potion as if they cast the spell
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) February 3, 2015
Sage Advice: Potions are described in Dungeon Master’s Guide p.139, at p.140 there’s a variant rules for drink more than one potions at time.
