D&D paladin capstone abilities are so cool but rarely get used bc so few characters reach level 20.
HOWEVER, you can easily add a divine-intervention-style ability where they pray and roll percentile dice. If they roll equal to or less than their level, the ability activates. Heck, since it's only for one thing, you can make it a bonus action. Just like divine intervention, you can try it every day, but once it works, it's a no-go for 7 days.
