Lot of debate now about being able to hold a weapon and use the claws from Path of the Beast. Allowing something like a Greatsword, Claw, Claw and still having a Bonus Action available. personally I don’t think thats correct. what say you, sir? That works. As long as one of your Attack action attacks is with the claws you can make an extra claw attack. The Extra Attack can be made with a weapon or unarmed strike, whatever.

For a Greatsword it makes sense, what about two hand axes or shortswords? I assume you need an empty hand to make a Claw attack but others believe otherwise Unless the DM is allowing something weird like Wolverine claws, yeah you’d need a free hand. The conception is clawed fingertips, need a free hand to make the attack.

I still wonder with the lingtooth BA bite, does the beast increase the damage die for that? Or do his teeth shrink once a turn? The shifter's teeth explode. #WotCStaff

More seriously, strict read the shifter's bonus action bite is an unarmed strike that uses its own damage and rules.
I wouldn't be shocked if a DM allowed a Path of the Beast shifter to use their Form of the Beast bite damage.

Could the extra attack still be made when wielding a shield? It doesn’t specify that the extra claw attack is made with the off-hand claw.
