People DM in different ways and have different strengths. A DM can be great at role-playing, but weaker at combat and rules interactions. Story and plotting are other aspects of the DM experience that people have different strengths in.You'll notice that I rarely post new magic items, monsters, or spells. There's a reason for that: I don't create new ones except extremely rarely. It's not part of how I run Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs.
