Spell versatility seems cool but in practice makes everyone a prepared caster lite, and giving to everyone seems a missed chance for differentiation of classes. Love the idea and the doc as a whole though! Unarmed FS also seems a little much damage compared to monk at that lvl Isn't it a 1d8 + str vs two 1d4 + Dex?

Yes. Assuming +3 to stat, it’s 8 vs 11. I should’ve worded differently, but think higher levels where fighters extra attks, divine smite, hunters marks start to out scale a monks damage by a long shot. I would rather a smaller damage dice. Well… Monk and fighter damage scales almost perfectly together. Right until lvl 20 when the fighter gets the fourth attk. Dmg done with hunters mark is not that much higher thank the monks bonus attk dmg. Smite is… Well… It's smite you can't really compare anything to smite

Haha fair fair, smite op. I think that’s the thing that makes some people a little uncomfortable with the FS- the monk now just keeps up in unarmed fighting damage. It feels like the monks niche is quite narrow now, would like to see a leetle more love for monks in dmg or utility RAW you can’t use Divine Smite with unarmed strikes. Has to be an actual melee weapon.
