Good morning!
Time to start a new week, create some awesome games, and remind everyone that disabled people exist in #dnd, and adventure and live just like abled characters. #WotCStaff

The ersatz eye and prosthetic limb magic items are in the game because these characters exist and thrive, and overcome their personal challenges. It's easy to focus on magical solutions because D&D is a magical game that spotlights exceptional individuals, but non-magical disability aids exist as well, and for adventurer and everyday people alike.

Love the inclusion but do they really need to take up an infusion slot? Ends up being more beneficial to just play an artificer 1handed Artificer infusions aren't the only ways to create magic items.

Oh gotcha, the infusion table’s the only place I’ve seen them so far The Replicate Magic Item tables are for that infusion specifically, and they list existing magic items that artificers can create using that infusion.

Ersatz eye is in Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and the prosthetic limb is in Eberron: Rising from the last War.
Both are reprinted in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount.
