Errata errata

Addressing a nuance in the PH errata: the rule lets melee weapon attacks use unarmed strikes, despite those strikes not being weapons. — Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 10, 2015 @corymacdonald It's in the errata document: "Instead of using a weapon to make a melee weapon attack, you can use an unarmed strike …" — Jeremy […]

Attack and special attack

@seekay“If you’re making an attack roll, you’re making an attack.” Is the inverse also true? Eg does MM trigger Hex? The inverse isn't true. Some special attacks, like grappling (PH, 195), don't include an attack roll. @mikemearls — Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 13, 2015 @seekayThanks! Lolth pronunciation

@ChrisPerkinsDnD Did you already discuss how to pronounce Lolth? Is it LOL-th or Loth? Big discussion at our games. 🙂 Thanks in advance. — fieldmechanik (@fieldmechanik) June 9, 2015 The second L isn't silent. The O can be long (lowlth) or short (lawlth). https://t.co/Tw8Trh49b6 — Christopher Perkins (@ChrisPerkinsDnD) June 10, 2015

Pinned and attack

@JeremyECrawford Can a pinned creature use an action to attack with a freehand, or are they totally restrained until grapple is broken? — Ben Jackson (@oilpainting71) June 1, 2015 The restrained condition doesn't stop you from attacking. It imposes disadvantage on your attack rolls. https://t.co/UnNE4ixNxv — Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 12, 2015
