so is the hexblade about shadows or about the weapon? Like a Sun Sword patron wouldn’t be very shadowy but very badass.Running curse of strad with a pc playing a hexblade lock of the sunblade

it's about the patron, though there are some darker aspect that you'd need to re-flavor – specter perhaps a redeemed spirit
