So, is there any plan to direct the AL folks to let all casters use the Sword Coast cantrips? They were implemented to bring melee casters into the power curve, but the Hexblade cannot access them? If we had intended for the SCAG cantrips to see wider use, we would have put them in "Xanathar's Guide to Everything." That was not our intention.

Then is the expectation that melee warlocks will be using 2 invocations to keep up with the power curve other casters get from, say, shocking grasp? The expectation is that a warlock will choose the options that speak best to the character's story concept and that are most enjoyable for the player.

I will respect your non-answer; thanks for the time! To be clear, I wasn't evading. The warlock is designed to be more versatile than most other classes. It has tons of options, which include the SCAG cantrips. There are many ways to build the warlock you want.

Cripes, he really is just clueless, isn’t he?
“To be clear, I wasn’t evading.”
Sorry, friend – you might not have been purposefully intending to not answer the question, but you still didn’t answer the question.
“The warlock is designed to be more versatile than most other classes. It has tons of options, which include the SCAG cantrips. There are many ways to build the warlock you want.”
Unless you’re playing Adventurer’s League, in which case you are arbitrarily denied the options you want because they were printed in the wrong book, which IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS DISCUSSION.
