So occasionally I will have a gamer who doesn't like X (insert specific rule thing) tell me that #DnD is losing all its players and no one likes it anymore and unless I fight to change X to Y (version of rule they like), WOTC will go bankrupt and cease to exist any day now.

I don't really have the power to implement the changes they usually want as I am a tiny cog, but as a scientist I do like numbers, so here's some data:
RPG sales are up 18% last year. Its a 433% increase since 2013. #DnD came out in 2014. (https://t.co/PwztenSq30)

Hasbro gaming revenue is up 20% last year largely due to #DnD and #MtG, despite a 12% drop in Q4 sales overall (partially due to Toys R Us liquidations. (https://t.co/SgHIWgMKze)

An estimated 12-15 people played #DnD last year (https://t.co/bRxZvsQJ7x). #DnD is so popular it now has its own @amazon page (https://t.co/RTQopaDcNH)

So many thing are happening & still coming, the growth in #DnD both for hobbyists and as part of the popular culture is amazing! I'm not saying this level of interest will last forever. Who can say? Things always change. The one thing I know is that right now, things are good.

You’ve got some wicked typos in there. DnD 5e came out in 2014. And, 12-15 million people played DnD last year. Cool info, though!
