@JeremyECrawford Strength for attack with net? PHB pg 14 seems to imply you have that option but the description of the Thrown property doesn't say anything about altering the stat used for a ranged weapon. If you can choose Str for net what is the purpose for Finesse on dart? 1

The finesse property on a weapon lets you choose whether you use Strength or Dexterity with that weapon.
If a weapon lacks that property, you don't get to choose, unless a rule says otherwise. #DnD https://t.co/7aj0Ps1Qqi
