Path to the grave, would sneak attack/divine smite be counted as part of the attack, or a separate attack? normally considered part of the attack that delivered them – it's all one damage source

So is the Hexblade about shadows or about the weapon?
so is the hexblade about shadows or about the weapon? Like a Sun Sword patron wouldn’t be very shadowy but very badass.Running curse of strad with a pc playing a hexblade lock of the sunblade

it's about the patron, though there are some darker aspect that you'd need to re-flavor – specter perhaps a redeemed spirit

Hex Warrior, “lacks the two handed property” so would Longsword or Spear be ok?
@JeremyECrawford the Hex Warrior class feature mentions "lacks the two handed property", so would Longsword, or Spear be ok, they only have the Versatile property? @mikemearls

In the Weapons table, there is a column called Properties. If a weapon has a certain property, such as finesse or two-handed, that property appears in that weapon's row of the table. The weapon lacks all other weapon properties. #DnD https://t.co/LFTtcEWqAe

Do magic item consumables count as an item?
in XGtE, magic items/rarity.. Do consumables count as an item? Thought I read somewhere they are 1/3 an item I *think* (without looking at the book, not at hand) that consumables generally have a lower rarity to make up for the fact that they are used up
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) January 30, 2018
Ok, thank you! That’s pretty harsh still, only assuming a group will find 6 potions of healing (common-minor) before 5th level!I believe they are listed on the PHB item list for that reason – default is that you can purchase them (want to say for 50 gp)

Summon Lesser Demons can summon “Four demons of challenge rating 1/2 or lower”, but there are no CR 1/2 demons
@JeremyECrawford Summon Lesser Demons can summon "Four demons of challenge rating 1/2 or lower", but there are no CR 1/2 demons. What gives?
— Tire Fire DM (@dasuber) November 16, 2017
A dretch and a manes are both lower than CR 1/2. As for a demon right at CR 1/2, we future-proofed the spell, in case such a demon does appear. Future-proofing is on our minds whenever we refer to CR ranges. #DnD https://t.co/jfyGUnczJo

Can you enlighten us on the Gloom Stalker’s “Dread Ambush” feature?
@JeremyECrawford Good morning! Can you enlighten us on the Gloom Stalker’s “Dread Ambush” feature and whether it processes per Attack action taken or per Turn? Thank you.
— E’Tallitnics (@ETallitnics) January 7, 2018
Dread Ambusher says, "If you take the Attack action on that turn, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action." The extra attack is tied to the action. #DnD https://t.co/xlEYRsm8LL
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) January 8, 2018
So meaning an Action Surge would grant you another Dread Ambusher Attack, correct? That's correct.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) January 8, 2018
It’s futureproofing for the Revised Ranger, which (as of last update) lacks Extra Attack as a basic class feature, right? E.G. it works with Extra Attack now, because all Rangers have EA now, but they may not in the future, hence the very particular wording. the revised ranger has no bearing on the design.
