Can you confirm whether Magic Stone is meant to be treated in any way as a weapon attack?
@JeremyECrawford Can you confirm whether Magic Stone is meant to be treated in any way as a weapon attack (i.e. Does Sharpshooter affect it?) or is it meant to be a ranged spell attack even when used from a sling?
— Mike Castaldo (@mikal768) December 12, 2017
An attack made with magic stone is a spell attack, even if you hurl the stone with a sling. The attack doesn't qualify for anything that requires a weapon attack, but it does work with a feature that requires a ranged weapon if you use a sling. #DnD https://t.co/iTN2mOtWqt

Does Kensei’s Shot scale with Martial Arts die?
does Kensei’s Shot scale with Martial Arts die? I feel like it doesn’t by RAW, but it was unclear enough that I wanted to ask. #DnD #SageAdvice Kensei's Shot deals an extra 1d4 damage, as stated in its description.

Is there any reason for reprinting EE spells and SCAG subclasses aside from accommodating the AL PHB +1 rule?
Is there any reason for reprinting EE spells and SCAG subclasses aside from accommodating the AL PHB +1 rule? We adopted SCAG stuff that makes sense beyond FR, spells to make them more widely available
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) October 11, 2017
In Xanathar's Guide, we included only the SCAG elements that we wanted to make widely available, especially beyond the Forgotten Realms.

Cast Blessing of the Forge on a friendlies gear, or just mine?
@JeremyECrawford Cast Blessing of the Forge on a friendlies gear, or just mine? RAW is any one non magical armor/weapons, but is that RAI?
— Michael D Showalter (@ParkSideElec) January 25, 2018
Blessing of the Forge isn't concerned about who owns the item that it benefits. #DnD https://t.co/bBug34PCvq

There is no obscurement from the Wall of Water?
@JeremyECrawford I take by the wording of Wall of Water (XtE), there is no obscurement from the wall? (Since only ranged weapon attacks have disadvantage, this means ranged spell attacks are ok?) #dnd #dnd5e #spells
— Justin Ray Glosson (@ivstinus) January 15, 2018
Wall of water imposes disadvantage on ranged weapon attacks, not ranged spell attacks, that enter the water. #DnD https://t.co/83LXI33ytv

Thank you, Sage! Sure thing!

Ruby of the War Mage: If it is attached to a Longsword +1, will that +1 apply to spell attacks also?
Question about an item from XtGE, the Ruby of the War Mage. If it is attached to a Longsword +1, will that +1 apply to spell attacks also? No.

Can you cast Dragon Breath on your familiar?
@JeremyECrawford can you cast dragon breath on your familiar?
— Find familiar (@familiar_find) December 19, 2017
Dragon's breath is cast on a willing creature. Your familiar is a creature that can be willing. Find familiar prevents a familiar from attacking, but dragon's breath involves no attack. #DnD https://t.co/GsCXwE63CN
