The dragon spewed fire on the sea
Roaring flame with all his might
Straining to make the waves catch light
Or at least make them glow cherry bright
Which would certainly
Make easier sunken treasure to see
In the darkness of the night— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) May 29, 2019
The sword was shining eerily
Under both moon and sun
Slaughtering makes her gleam cheerfully
Until the battle’s won
She pouts if foes flee fearfully
As their absence cuts short the fun— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) May 30, 2019
On shipwreck’s deck ’twas very wet
For at the sea bottom nothing’s very dry
And the now-drowned crew had ceased to struggle and fret
After breath no nearer than the distant sky
I said naught to them, but merely waved
For it’s not polite to pry— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) May 30, 2019
