1/3 Hi Ed! I need your advice. Two very central NPCs in my campaign were killed during a chapter-ending battle and I did not plan for it, and it is having an immense impact on the game. One was one of the PC’s pregnant wizard wife with a huge story around the future 2/2 kids and the other was the central cleric in the story and best friend of the PC characters. It's affecting everyone emotionally and I was wondering what you thought of Wish/Miracle in such a situation and of Resurrection spells in general and how they are sometimes used too

lightly, and if using them wound lessen the impact of the deaths. I'm struggling between re-writing the whole following story and creating a fix for it, one that would make sense in the story since the means are available and the situation warrants it. Thanks in advance sir!

Is there "unfinished business" for the undead PCs, left undone by their demises? That a third party (NPC or NPC organization) might want them back alive to get done for them? If so, that's the most organic/least "unrealistic" way to return them to life, in-game.
