Here's one quick tip: encourage and enforce the quirks, flaws, traits, and bonds that are already on character sheets. Set up situations in game where these can be highlighted, and hammer on them until your players rise to the occasion. Be liberal with inspiration when they do.

In tragedy, these flaws would eventually lead to the downfall of the characters. In comedy, these flaws and traits inform the direction or the plot, but in the long run the characters overcome their own shortcomings despite (our because of) their own natures.

Link them to other characters when you can. That is great advice any time! If the characters' bonds aren't to someone or something that is omnipresent in the game, it is a wasted opportunity.
