What are rules for creatures that have a movement speed that is different than their fly speed? Say a creature has 30ft walk speed and 60ft fly speed and they walk 15 feet and take off. Does that creature have 45ft of flying movement or 30 because they used half? Believe they have 45 – it's by foot rather than proportional

So, @MikeMearls, you’re saying they can always move 60 ft just by saying they’re flying part of it? Why even have a walk speed that’s different if that’s the case?
When he doesn’t wants to show off that he can fly. Or when he is crawling in a place that he cannot fly. Or when he knows that if he flies, he’ll be killed by something on the roof. Any reasons.
