A question for #dnd DMs and adventure creators. What do you think about tasks that have no chance of failure and are just about HOW the players do it and not IF? Example: stealing an item with the DM instructed to allow it as long as there is sufficient effort. It has a place in the game. I think it's a great tool for exploration and travel. You know the characters are going to get from point A to point B. The question is, what shape will they be in when they get there, and what stories will they have to tell?
