Sorry for bothering, but what exactly is the difference between a deity and a “BIG monster”? According to my memory, there’re many monsters be worshiped as gods (say, Demogorgon, Dendar ). What makes the deities different from these monsters？ The difference is large, widely-established clergy who promote the creeds and rituals (including festivals) of the deities, so they become a pervasive part of daily life for all civilized beings, rather than worship confined to a cult/secret society, or individual.#Realmslore
