What if concentration checks used your spellcasting modifier instead of Con?
So the DC is still based on how much damage you took, but your ability to weather that comes down to your force of will or your focused mind pushing through the pain

Seeing a lot of really good points on both sides of the argument. One thing that occurs to me that I *haven’t* seen mentioned is how rarely a caster actually gets to roll with their spellcasting modifier – most of the time it’s added to the DC instead, which is more passive And there are both positives and negatives attached to changing or not changing that! I just think it's worth factoring into the proverbial mouth-feel of caster classes with these kinds of discussions

I feel bad for Con bc no skills and would be sad to take something away from it, but this does make sense. Part of me wonders if Con needs to be an ability at all! Could it be merged with Strength maybe? Poor Constitution… The Rudolph of the D&D stat list

I'm kind of thinking of this as a Concentration CHECK rather than a Concentration check which is for some reason a save. By which I mean, I'm not entirely convinced I'd add proficiency into the mix.
