Having many trans friends, it got me wondering – what term is used in the major demihuman languages? … Particularly Dwarvish/Gnomish/Halfling/Jotun.

I super appreciate the response Ed 🥰 especially you delivering more languages than originally asked. Though I must say, I am surprised that the goblin and orc languages have a word for it. Didn’t think their societies would recognize such a thing. Orc and goblin societies of the Realms include lots of spotting subtle signs, and shifts and changes of any sort in individuals, to minimize open violence within the society. Just as there's more barking (blustering posturing) than biting (fighting).#Realmslore
