What was the inspiration behind developing different spellcasting systems for different classes?

The idea is that each class has its own distinct theory and practice of magic. Think of how Celine Dion and LL Cool J are both musicians, yet have little else in common. Same basic category, very different technique and expression. https://t.co/ylyEVuZ3Ha
