Quick question: hat would happen in the Realms if the majority of people stopped worshipping the gods (either turning to non-theistic religion or abandoning religion completely)? Gods, perturbed, would order their clergy to do dramatic things to restore belief and reverence.
Clergy, deprived of much of their living, would do so anyway.
