When you play a character in a #TTRPG, what draws you to pick a particular character option? Obviously for many of us it's a combination, but do you GENERALLY get swayed by flavor or mechanics? #DnD

This one surprised me. I thought we’d have more weird other edge cases, but it seems I got the broad options right.

I definitely though “mechanics” would be more popular, since those can often have a new story applied in many games, but that’s also some game designer thinking. Thanks to all participating! It's a good discussion going on.
