Which D&D stat do you feel is best for measuring "power of the mind?"

Sherlock vs Moriarty is a game of strategy, which feels like INT.

I think this question is difficult bc most of the INT checks in D&D 5e relate to memory (knowledge checks) rather than complex thought I associated w/ brainpower.

To me, WIS = experience, and CHA = force of will.
