In a LARP, I played a god who had lost his memories. As far as I knew I was a random madman. The GMs would come to me with questions I needed to answer from the voices in my head. I thought they were just using that to reflect my character’s madness. In fact, they were prayers and divinations from the priests of the various faction in the LARP. We figured it out just in time for the priests of the various temples to restore my mind and banish a demon lord. It was huge fun.AMA: Mike Mearls, D&D Creative Director
