to be clear, I AM obsessed with Critical Role, and I DO think Matt is a fantastic DM & role model who obviously inspires a lot of people!

But telling people that their playstyle can’t or shouldn’t be inspired by Matt (because he’s… too popular?? or something?) is bullshit, AND assigning totally common stuff like "doing voices" or "caring about character roleplay" to Critical Role is also weird and inaccurate. I love CR, but giving them credit for THE EXISTENCE OF ROLEPLAY is a step too far lmao
