Would trial by combat be considered a legal option for settling a dispute in a city like Neverwinter or would that be considered barbaric? It would be considered barbaric.
I know, as in Realmsplay, Uthgardt barbarians visiting the city have tried to do just that. :} And lawkeepers were called. In one case, too late.
