There’s nothing like teaching a class called Writing for RPGs to realize how much you need to learn about writing for RPGs before you can even begin to talk about the topic in a way that is both academically sound and helpful to students. #themoreyoudontknow

Work on breaking the entire course out as a series of random tables, then just roll every few minutes to figure out what you’re talking about. Now this is the kind of good ideas that come with collaboration!

If the students each have to present something, have them roll initiative to see who goes first. This is just getting better and better. A wandering monster table to see what I'll assign as a project, quiz, test, etc.!

Give them a choice of four different short-answer questions presented in a table, to show them that even if there’s a “random” table the DM can just pick!

I mean this with the utmost sincereity: W4RPGs so far has been one of the most academically sound and helpful classes I’ve taken. It’s a great combination of lecture, hands on work, and speakers that I look forward to every week! I’m lucky to be en-rolled. Bad joke, great class! Thanks. That means a great deal!
