Opinion: @matthewmercer is just a dungeon master. he’s good but he will not be what I aspire to be as a DM. I see #Critters worship him as a paragon of game mastery. But you can do exactly what he does. There is nothing magical about his game mastery. You can be a good dm too. Couldn’t agree more. 🙂

I actually don’t like his style at all. I find the worshipment almost alien to watch. I have my style and methods, I have groups who enjoy it. Not more is needed. This is what’s so great about the game. So many different styles, and whatever works for your table and players is the best way to do it. As for the worship-thing…it gets strange on this end too.

Opinion: This tweet was made just to instigate arguments.I disagree. It’s a point I myself have made, and I find it more of an empowering statement than anything. While I appreciate the sentiment from folks, I genuinely think there’s no intent to cause conflict. 🙂

Well the word fan is derived from fanatic or fanatical. While I do enjoy watching his game and wish there were more DMs like him I’m not that crazy. The whole celebrity worship thing… I don’t get it.
But then there are many things about many people I don’t get.
