The adventurers regarded the six big, black, identical treasure chests (each was clearly labeled “Treasure Chest”), then looked at each other.

“Yes,” the cleric agreed, “and I like to see who I’m dealing with.”
“They’re nothing special,” put in the thief.
And they turned away.

And they kept walking. Until the floor vanished beneath their boots and they were plunged down, down into unseen darknesses, shrieking all the way.
“Yes,” the guardian replied, rather smugly.
