You’re so good at these poems and stories. Where do you get the inspiration?

I just sit down and type. Literally.
You’re so good at these poems and stories. Where do you get the inspiration??! A lot of the poems are parodies of music hall or camp or old movie songs or classic poems or rhymes from ancient folklore, or "borrow" their cadences but I use different words, to tell different tales. I'm just having fun. ;}

Which I suppose is my subconscious playing at storytelling, all the time. After fifty-odd years and 400-odd books, I suppose it's learned how. ;}
